Deut 20:1-5

We all want the New Year to be a better year than the old.

Every year brings with it the good and the bad. It is how we respond to these that matters.

Vs 1 - There will be battles. No matter how big the battle…could not be bigger than being lost.

And your battles, at times, will be "more than thou".

Vs 2 - Seek spiritual advice when the battles get too much for you.

Ask your pastor I have pretty much seen it all. Israel did.

Vs 3 - some good, basic counsel. If you are going to take on a battle. Get married, have a child:

1. When the enemy rattles their shields - Let not your hearts faint.

2. When they prance their horses in front of you - Fear not
