2000 years ago the Romans had what they called "The Triumph". We call it the Triumphal Entry.
Wiki...It was reserved for very few Roman leaders and it was to acknowledge a great victory…
Wiki… says it took them to the very point of "divinity".
Wiki…At the end of the triumph the people would cry out "Caesar is King, Lord, God". It was OK if they didn't mean it…so long as they said it once a year. Like "Christianity" today.
Wiki says that during the triumph the people would throw down flowers and palm branches.
Wiki tells us the leader would always enter with a Sacrifice to be slain.
Historians point out they would bring with them the weapon that they attributed to the victory
