The concept of learning is one of the most fundamental aspects of Christian living, yet we often fail to consider the source and nature of what we are learning. Throughout Scripture, God has specific commands and instructions about what we should learn and, equally important, what we should NOT learn. This morning we will examine the biblical mandate concerning Christian education and the critical choices that face every believer in our modern society.

As we look through both the Old and New Testaments, we find clear guidance about learning. In the Old Testament, God commanded His people to learn to fear Him, to understand His statutes and judgments, to keep His commandments, and to do what is righteous.
