GOD'S ORDER: AUTHORITY AND SUBMISSION IN THE CHURCH AND HOME

Ephesians 5:21–33

God is the author of order, not confusion. And order brings peace. Authority brings peace.

1 Corinthians 14:33 - "For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints."

I think we have bought into this idea of being anti-establishment or anti-authority. But what that really is, is confusion. If we don't follow God's rules for the church, it's confusion. If we don't follow God's order for the family, it's chaos.

This morning I want to show you God's design for authority - first in the church, then in the home. And I want you to see that God's order brings peace, while rebellion against His order brings confusion.

“Buy the truth, and sell it not”
— Proverbs 23:23
