“and the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not.” Isaiah 2:9
God looked over Israel and saw all men bowing down, but not to him to strange gods, false gods. What I am afraid of is that if God looked at America today, he would see America bowed down not to him but to another god.
Isaiah’s comment is to ask God not to forgive them. We need some men and women in this country who side with God who see things as God sees them. Isaiah is frustrated at the people.
We in Sunday school went over the first and greatest commandment. No other gods before me. We understand the commandment, we know the rules but sad to say this world is bowing down to things left and right.
