Christ has paid it all. Crucified, buried, risen again. And his closest friends…the future of the church…believed it not. You and I are the future of the church TODAY!!!
Vs 14 - upbraided - Charged with something wrong or disgraceful; reproached; reproved.
Jesus is eating with them and charging them with terrible wrongs.
- Their unbelief - faithlessness, unfaithfulness, unbelief.
Interesting that it is "with" their unbelief, not "for" their unbelief. Self-evident.
Christ reaches for the bread, nail scarred hand. "So why did you not believe?"
- He upbraided them for their "hardness of heart". Would not believe eyewitnesses.
