The word "coward" brings to mind many unflattering synonyms: wimp, baby, chicken, deserter, invertebrate, jellyfish, quitter, scaredy cat, yellow belly, and gutless. The antonym of coward is simple yet profound: HERO. In our world today, we desperately need heroes - men and women who will stand up when it matters most, who will engage in the battles that define our faith and our future.

Heroes emerge in moments of crisis, often from the most unlikely circumstances. They are ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things when the moment demands it. The question we must ask ourselves today is this: Are we in the fight? Are we ready to be the heroes that God is calling us to be in this generation?
