Add to you temperance…patience

II Peter 1:1-5

Last week we looked at temperance - self control. If we are going to have total victory in our self control…we will absolutely need to have patience.

In a sense, lack of temperance is a lack of patience. I want something now that either I should not have or should not haves right now. Immorality. Food (three meals at the same time).

We are told, drink water first…then wait, eat slowly, wait 20 minutes after eating…

A couple of subjects that always speak to people's hearts are anger and patience.

We have to be very careful not to be "content" with being more patient than we used to be.
