In warfare, holding the high ground offers several strategic advantages: We are going to liken our lives to warfare and understand what it means to maintain the high ground. The castle has walls and towers which are made to defend us. Castles in the old days were built on hills and choke points. The purpose for that is there is safety in the highground.

Gravity is on your side. The laws of God are on your side. Positioning yourself to the advantage of the enemy. Abimelech was Gideon's son and he was wicked. And people sought protection in a tower against him. And a woman killed him with a stone.
