Gates of Hell

Matthew 16:18Loading... 18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Bible definition of the gates. Plural.

It is the boundary line. It is the access point. It is the Welcome point. It was where all the popular and ruling class would meet. It was a place of Judgement. And Decision. There was a choice who went in and who went out. It was a place of rule. I make the rules up to this point.
