The Keys of the Bible Part 1
The word "key" appears eight times throughout Scripture - twice in the Old Testament and six times in the New Testament. These keys represent profound spiritual truths that unlock the mysteries of God's kingdom and our relationship with Him. In the physical realm, a key grants access to what was previously locked away. Similarly, the spiritual keys of the Bible unlock eternal truths, revealing God's plan for salvation and our role in His kingdom work.
Throughout Scripture, we encounter various types of keys: physical keys to doors, the symbolic key to the "house of David," keys given to believers to bind on earth and in heaven, the key of knowledge, and keys to heaven, hell, and the bottomless pit. Each of these keys carries significant meaning for the believer and reveals important aspects of God's character and His plan for humanity.
“Buy the truth, and sell it not”— Proverbs 23:23
