Built for the Storm

In Matthew 7 God teaches us how to weather the storm. He doesn't promise to keep us from the storm, but He promises to see us through it. That's what this parable is all about - being built for the storm. It's not about avoiding difficulty and pain. We are all going to experience death, loss, pain. But we have Christ with us every step of the way.

Notice Jesus doesn't say "if" the storm comes. He says "when" the rain descends, "when" the floods come, "when" the winds blow. The storm is coming. The question is: are you built for it?
