I have been thinking about this passage and I have been thinking about being a Pastor. I hope you don't mind. I preach on things that touch my heart. I preach on verses where God has showed me something. If you have been in church you know that [Person 1] preached on prodigal son. It was a good message and something stuck out to me I had never realized.
This is a good thing. Every time we come to church we want to get something from God. Even the pastor needs something out of church. Simply what he said was the party was not for the prodigal son but for the father. And looking at it in context we see that.
