I Thessalonians 5:16-23

Rejoice - in the midst of problems…we demonstrate only joy and hope.

Pray - "let's pray about it"

Thanks giving - rather than complain and worry…give thanks for what you have

Quench not the spirit - Do not throw water on a raging fire.

Despise not prophesyings - refers to the preaching. Respond to it…don't react against it.

Prove all things - a picture of metal testing. Is it "really" gold?

Hold fast that which is good - That which is in accordance with the Word of God.

Abstain from all appearance of evil. - Not just evil…but even the appearance of it.

Vs 23 - The God of peace - Every home needs to enjoy the God of peace.

Absence of fear. Physical, Emotional and Spiritual. Peace in all these areas.
