Matthew 2:1–2

Now when Jesus was born in Beth-lehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,

2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

The wise men. We sing the song we three kings from orient are. The nativity scene that we know oh so well has these three wise men. Well I hate to burst your bubble but unfortunately the traditional nativity scene is biblically inaccurate.

There were no wise men at the birth of Christ and no little drummer boy either. If they saw the star the night Jesus was born it would have taken almost a month to get from Persia (modern Iran) to Jerusalem.
