Luke 11:2Loading... 2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

The word "hallowed" comes from the Greek word ἁγιάζω (hagiazō), which means "to sanctify" or "to treat as holy." We don’t sanctify God.

The Lord’s Prayer, it’s rendered as “hallow,” emphasizing reverence and godly living that reflects God’s glory. Therefore, “hallowing” signifies a multifaceted process of dedication, purification, and reverent devotion to God.

Throughout scripture God has many names and we must recognize God as hollowed.
