Baptism
Baptism does not save
Baptism is one of the two ordinances of the church. An ordinance is a directive or command. As baptist we make the distinction that both baptism and the Lord’s supper are symbolic. What do I mean by that? The bread and wine for communion we teach represents or symbolizes the body and blood of Jesus but it does not become anything it's still a cracker and welch's grape juice.
The catholic church would teach that the cracker when they pray over becomes the body of christ. But the bible does not teach that. It teaches that the bread just represents the body and we eat it in remembrance of what Jesus did on the cross.
