Galatians 5:22–23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
The Nature of Gentleness (Chrestotes)
Definition: Gentleness (chrestotes) is kindness in action—a benevolence that seeks the good of others with tenderheartedness.
Key Idea: It reflects God’s character in His patient and kind dealings with humanity.
Application: Gentleness demonstrates love through acts of care and understanding.
Greek – Chrestotes – a disposition to be gentle, soft spoken, kind, even-tempered, cultured & refined in character and conduct.
Tender and Mild treatment.
