Beloved, as we gather together in this house of the Lord, we come face to face with one of the most fundamental truths of our faith - the reality of sin in our lives. The apostle John, writing under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, presents us with a truth that cuts through all pretense, all self-deception, and all human pride. This morning, I want us to examine our hearts honestly as we consider what it truly means to acknowledge sin in our lives.

How easy it is for us to look around and see the faults of others while remaining blind to our own shortcomings.
