Don't Judge a Book by Its Cover

We've all heard the old saying: "Don't judge a book by its cover." But this morning I want to talk about THE Book - the Holy Bible - and how people are quick to judge what's inside these pages without ever reading them.

The Bereans in Acts 17 were commended as "more noble" because they didn't just accept what they heard at face value. They searched the Scriptures daily to verify if what they were being taught was true. They didn't judge the message without examining the Book.

But today we live in a culture where truth has become relative. It's "pick your religion based on your preference." You can believe whatever makes you comfortable, and you'll find a church somewhere that agrees with you. That is not the way it's supposed to be.
