Back Story

This is the end of the message at Mars Hill. Paul is preaching and in essence this is his invitation to be saved. If you remember he used the altar to the unknown God as a starting point and revealed God to these Athenians.

Paul's message had a few points:

• God is the Creator.
• God does not dwell man made things.
• God is the giver of life.
• God created man for a purpose: To seek/find the Lord.
• We are God's children.
• God wants to restore his children.

So this is where we pick up in Acts chapter 17:30. Paul is going to tell the Athenians what they need to do. This simply is the Gospel but it was broken down beautifully.
