Understanding is Comprehension

I’ll explain it like this: growing up we were taught to memorize scripture. Many times I found myself being able to quote a verse for 10 years only to realize later what it meant.

The Word of God is for all of us no doubt but there are many times we don’t know what a verse means because we have not reached an experience where that verse is required to understand.

Nehemiah 8:8Loading... “So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.”

I want to take a moment and talk about the practical ways we miss out on understanding. There are some things that we keep us from understanding the scripture. Keep us from understanding the things of God.
