I. Jesus Came Out of the City (Verse 39)
When Scripture tells us that Jesus "came out," it specifically means He departed from Jerusalem—the holy city that had become hostile to His message. This departure was not merely geographical but deeply symbolic. Jerusalem, the city that should have welcomed its Messiah with open arms, had instead rejected Him completely. The religious leaders had plotted against Him, the crowds had turned fickle, and even His own disciples would soon abandon Him.
