Children in impoverished nations often need to be adopted! (8:15) Vs 9 two types of people.

Vs 10-11 - if -is the key word in this verse. No matter who we are or how we have lived…over time our body will die. But…if I am in Christ…I will live, in heaven, forever.

Vs 12-13-And so because of this (Therefore) - Just because we have done things wrong all our life is no indication that we must continue in that vein. We are not debtors to this body.

Vs 14 - interesting teaching here. When we allow God to control us we are the sons of God.

Vs 15 - Note that when we are saved…we have been adopted. But we need the spirit of adoption.
