Beloved, as we gather together on this Lord's Day, I want to speak to you about a battle that was fought many years ago - not just any battle, but one that speaks to the very heart of what every soul needs today. Cinco de Mayo is not, as some might think, Independence Day for Mexico. Rather, it commemorates the Battle of Puebla, where 2,000 ragged Mexican soldiers stood against 6,000 well-equipped French troops and achieved what seemed impossible - victory against overwhelming odds.
