Vs 1a - I wish this morning people were stepping over each other. But…we are here. Jesus, in three short verses, warns, explains and illustrates just what He is talking about.

Vs 1b - I. Warning Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees.

Jesus refers to a specific problem the religious leaders of His day have.

It is something that must be warned of. Must be avoided. Hypocrisy.

This hypocrisy is acting religious when you are not religious.

Think of it like saying you are on a diet, but gorging at night. Hypocrite.

Vs 2 - Explains Taking the diet scenario, "it will be revealed".

Do you think you are fooling your friends?

Are you kidding yourself? Do you have a mirror?

Spiritually speaking it is pretty much the same. Talk sincere, but live ...
