This morning I want to take what we would call a kids' coloring book story and really make it applicable to today. Because the story of Noah isn't just ancient history - it's a picture of our lives right now.

Picture this scene: Noah is out in his field with his three boys - Shem, Ham, and Japheth - cutting down trees, sawing boards, hammering pegs. His neighbors walk by every day and see this massive wooden structure taking shape. And they ask, "Hey Noah, whatcha building?"

"A boat," Noah says.

"A boat? What for? There's no water around here!"

"God told me a flood is coming."

"A flood? From where?"

"From heaven. God said it's going to rain."
