This is a two pronged spear of doctrine tip one: There is no longer a temple or old testament sacrifices so also the ministers of the temple are no longer needed. There are no longer sons of Aaron that minister to the things of God as in the old testament.

With the coming of the new testament we are taught about how we as believers are kings and priests to God.

The second tip of the spear is the teachings against catholicism. This point in baptist doctrine contradicts what the catholic church teaches. It's a core doctrine that makes us different.
