This verse is something to think about, something to dwell on, something to meditate on. David, full of the Holy Ghost, speaks God's word and says, "Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints."

I looked up the definition of precious so we truly understand it:

PRECIOUS, adjective [Latin pretiosus, from pretium, price]

Of great price; costly; as a precious stone
Of great value or worth; very valuable
Highly valued; much esteemed
