The Lord’s Supper

1 Corinthians 11:2Loading... 2 Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.

The ordinances of the church are baptism and the Lord’ supper. These are things we continue to do as a church to honor and obey God. They are both commandments directly from Jesus’ mouth. It is important to note that it is the church that has the authority to baptize. And it is the church that has the authority to carry out the Lord’s supper. Westview Baptist Church practices what we call close communion. That is very much pictured in the new testament.
