I. Christ's Works Were Designed to Reveal His Identity

Christ was going about doing great works. He did these miracles so that the people would know who He was. Every miracle Jesus performed served a dual purpose: to meet human need and to authenticate His divine nature and mission. When Jesus healed the paralytic, gave sight to the blind, or cast out demons, He wasn't merely displaying supernatural power for its own sake. These signs and wonders were credentials, divine testimonies that validated His claims to be the Son of God and the promised Messiah.

The religious leaders of Jesus' day had front-row seats to these miraculous displays of divine power. They witnessed the lame walking, the dead being raised, and demons fleeing...
