What happened on the 4th of July? When did Britain recognize it? 9/3/83 (7 1/2 years)
Freedom. Total freedom is to be free from things and to be free to things. Free.
Not bound from behind and also not bound in front. "Tied with back or front to tree".
In verse 31 it is very clear that Jesus is speaking to "believers". We must continue in the "word" to really be a "disciple" (indeed).
Vs 32 - by continuing in the "word" we shall know the truth…and this truth (and only this truth) can ever make us free!!
I am free from my past and I am free to serve, work, and play in my future. Free.
By living by the word I am also free of guilt. Past (prior to salvation) and mistakes following.
