I would venture to say that any regular member here never does anything wrong through ignorance. When we swear, gossip, speak evil, drink, light up a cigarette, lose our temper, or steal, we know exactly what we're doing. We've heard the Word preached, we've read our Bibles, and the Holy Spirit has convicted our hearts. Yet like children, we continue in the same patterns of disobedience over and over again.

This is the sobering reality James addresses in our text today - the sin of doing wrong on purpose, with full knowledge of what is right. This isn't about ignorance or weakness; it's about willful rebellion against God's clear commands.
